Thanks

What am i thankful for? There is so many things that i could probably not think of all of them. Sometimes we take what we are thankful for for granted, and when reading "The Book of Negroes" it really made me think about how much I should be thankful for the life I live. We are all so lucky to live in world we have today with no slavery, no judgement, and have to go through what Aminata went through. I am thankful for my education, to live such a great life, to be loved, music, I am even thankful to have a clean shower in the morning and a pretty much unlimited amount of food. Most of all I am thankful for my family and to have so many of them on both sides, which is filled with so much love. Yet at times we all may hate each other and may just want to pull one another's hair out but you know at the end of the day we are family. We love each other unconditionally, we are always there when you have a bad day even if you don't want to talk to anybody but we will sit there with you silently. I love that my family and along with my extended family can go on a family vacation to Mexico, stay in a house together and just have a blast. I am thankful that I am able to go on and get a post- secondary education. I am thankful for the little things, like books, music and candy. There is so much more! I am thankful for everything, just to be living in such an exciting time.

Avatar

First off, if anyone has not seen Avatar then i do not know what you are waiting because in no way will you be disappointed with this film it is absolutely astonishing. James cameron makes a film prett much every ten years and that shows how intimate and perfect his work has to be, he settles for nothing less then perfection. James cameron even invented a new lens for this movie, all for the 3D effect which allowed to shoot in all views. Watching the movie in the 3D you are in awe the whole time, I recommend that if you are scared of heights then hold onto your chairs because that is how real this movie is. Avatar is not a movie it is more along the lines of a cinematic adventure. When you are in your seat your in awe the whole time, it is like you have seen colors that you have never seen before and it feels like you are walking right inside the movie as it goes on. The world that the avatar's live in is so magical and euphoric, they worship their land it is what they live for. Seeing Avatar makes you think of movies in a whole new perspective, you dont think such a movie could even have that effect but once you see Avatar you will know what im talking about. It was dizzying in fact, just absorbing all the mythical creatures and plants was so enthrolling. Avatar is the Pandora of movies, you walk out of that theater and you are sad that it is over and you also wish that you were an Avatar.

PASSION

Should you be passionate about your career? Yes without a doubt you should be, if you dont have passion how are you ever going to get yourself out of bed everyday and go to a job which you hate. Passion gets you up everyday it motivates you to do better and if you had a bad day at work your passion stills gets you up the next day to go to work. When you go to university and do how ever many years of school your career requires you go into a job almost right away after school and you most likely stick with that job till you retire. If you think that you will enjoy your job and it is what you want to do but you go into it and its not all what you think it will be, you cant really just go and find another job out there. Almost every job requires a certain amount of school to qualify for it. Also, if you just going for a job that will give you lots of money you still need to go do your job everyday with the passion that you don't have for it but the passion for the money you will get out of it, which is not enough.

Now as for me, i did have it all planned out i was going to go nanny in Europe for a year then come back and go to school for human kinetics at UVIC. But now as the days passed im not going to nanny for a year and im unsure about going into human kinetics. My parents would like me to go into comerce which will give me a lot of options but i dont know if that is what i want to do. So i decided that for next year i am going to move to Vancouver and live with my sister and work. I want to figure out what i want to do before i go to school, not just go to school and figure it out while my parents are spending a but load of money on it. What i decide to will be the career i will love and be passionate about.

How would a broken plate feel?

A broken plate would feel empty and lonely that they have lost their other half. They would feel completely useless because no food would ever sit on the plate again. A broken plate would feel that they had no reason to go on and that you may as well break into a million pieces because would good is a broken plate. If you ate on a broken plate you could be risking your life a piece of broken plate could end up in your food and cut up all your insides, no plate would ever want to put you in such a life risking position. A broken plate would feel that they did not even deserve the title plate anymore just that they deserved the title broken. It would feel that it was a disapointment that it could not live up to your expectations and let you rest your meals on its top side and enjoy it. A broken plate would feel like a piece of garbage. Also, it would feel as if nobody truely cared enough about it to make sure that it did not fall and break. So in that case the plate would be happy it was broken because its metaphorical heart was broken.
